A dashboard to explore and compare multiple high streets and examine reports on recent and typical footfall, spend, and Business Offerings at high street, town centre, and BID levels.

A mapping tool that brings together data spatially, displaying footfall, spend, travel time, business locations, cultural infrastructure, and public land ownership.

An interactive time series explorer displaying spend and footfall patterns over time.

Private datasets

Spend

Anonymised and aggregated data from Mastercard. Can be used to gain insights on consumer spending patterns, including spending amounts, transaction counts, and retail categories. Spend is reported as an index value, not £ amount.

Useful for analysing consumer behaviour, economic trends, and informing business strategies and policy decisions.

Weekly/Weekend Retail Insights

  • What’s inside:
    • Weekly spend amount index (credit/debit) transaction count index and adjusted spend amount index.
    • Separated by retail category (apparel, eating places, and total retail).
    • Aggregated to weekday vs weekend split.
  • Time Period available: January 2019 – Present
  • Update frequency: Monthly, 2-3 weeks after end of the reporting period
  • Geographical level: High streets, town centres, business improvement districts, boroughs, MSOAs, the central activity zone (CAZ), inner London, outer London, London, or bespoke areas.

3-Hourly Spend Insights

  • What’s inside:
    • Daily spend amount index (credit/debit) over 3-hour time blocks (6-9am, 9-12pm, 12-3pm…)
    • No retail sub classification
    • Not inflation adjusted
  • Time period available: March 2022 – Present
  • Update frequency: Monthly, 2-3 weeks after end of the reporting period
  • Geographical level: 100m grids, high streets, town centres, business improvement districts, or bespoke areas.

Mobility

Anonymised and aggregated data from BT. Can be used for understanding pedestrian density, guiding urban development and retail planning decisions.

Captures footfall traffic trends, including footfall counts, visitor demographics and behaviours like return visits and dwell time.

  • Time period available: August 2022 – Present
  • Update frequency: Quarterly
  • Geographical level: Point-based data across London
